We are the river people. Our story is about Country.

Our trees are so special that they have their own stories. They are Coolamon trees, Birth trees, and Canoe trees. We also have spirits along the river. Our animals are our totems.

Uncle Peter Peterson is a Barkindji Elder, artist, educator, cultural advisor, and storyteller. Peter has been taking people walkabout on Country for many years to share the story of the land, river, and culture.
