Irrational Colour, 2018. Water based house paint

When we are children our drawings and paintings are made with pure imagination, trees can be purple and the sky can be yellow, it is not until later in life that we learn the rationalities of colour, and are forced to create within guidelines (a tree must be green).

This work explores removing the sensibilities of colour and creating work reliant on emotion, chance and imagination, as a child would. An idea inspired by the works of Andy Warhol.
