WHAT'S ON

Boundless Plains to Share

A production by Year 11 Drama students from Mildura Senior College

The performance, Boundless Plains to Share, invites the audience to bear witness to the journeys taken by the asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in our community.

The performance is a verbatim theatre piece – interviews of EAL students (who are asylum seekers, migrants or refugees) are acted out word for word, action and gesture by the Year 11 Drama students in an edgy and engaging style of verbatim theatre.

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre which has a rural support body in North Victoria has endorsed the performance and will resource it in terms of providing information. The proceeds of the night, a gold coin donation, will all be donated to the ASRC, who do not receive any form of government funding.

Date: Monday 22 July
Location: Mildura Arts Centre
