Reimagining Culture

Contemporary Connections to Country

Maree Clarke

Reimagining Culture - Contemporary Connections to Country is an acutely relevant major new creative initiative between Craft and Mildura Arts Centre. This exclusive exhibition will bring together a selection of existing works by Mutti Mutti, Boonwurrung, Yorta Yorta woman and multi-disciplinary artist Maree Clarke, and new works made in collaboration with Maree and her nieces and nephews.

Maree’s family live in Mildura and the surrounding area. Reimagining Culture is an opportunity for them to (re)imagine their culture in the place they live and have lived. It will explore how they create their traditions through research and respect of the land, while drawing strength from their Ancestors.
Exhibition Saturday 9 March - Sunday 12 May
Location: Mildura Arts Centre

Free Entry
