Mirror Meditations
Mirror Meditations: Contrasting Tension and Contentment
Alexandra Rosenblum
OPENING
6pm, Thursday 27 February
Alexandra Rosenblum is an artist working in a variety of photographic mediums to explore the binaries of self-actualisation. Using photography to investigate concepts encompassing duality, vulnerability and tension, Alexandra produces photographs that are alluring yet evoke a feeling of anxiety.
This project utilises an analogue photographic practice to explore natural light in various environments as a symbol of the duality of anxiety and peace.
Encompassing traditional dark room processing with unconventional forms in order to develop the work into a personal expression. Alexandra Rosenblum’s photography becomes a platform that provides the viewer access to the artist’s fragility and trauma whilst also encouraging self-reflection.
